Terms and Conditions

Conclusion of contract

The provisions of the Swiss Civil Code apply to the conclusion of the contract. A reservation is considered to have been made when payment has been received.

Booking

Directly bookable online. The full amount of the booking must be paid in advance on the day of booking.

A reservation made on the day of arrival itself becomes binding at the moment it is accepted by the Lodge.

Booking changes only become binding for the Lodge through written confirmation. Unilateral changes or additions by the guest are not valid.

Subletting and using the rooms for purposes other than accommodation are not permitted.

Prices/payment methods

The prices are based on the contract conclusion or our price list. The prices communicated by the Lodge are in Swiss francs (CHF), including statutory value-added tax, but excluding local taxes.

Breakfast is not included in our room prices. Breakfast can be ordered in advance for CHF 20.-per person.

We accept the following payment methods: Maestro card, Mastercard, Visa, Paypal.

The hotel can change the advertised prices in the following cases:

  • newly introduced or increased government taxes (e.g. value-added tax, tourist tax, etc.)
  • clearly explainable printing errors

Check-in/check-out time

Subject to other agreements, the guest has the right to use the rented rooms from 3 p.m. on the agreed day of arrival until 11 a.m. on the day of departure. If arriving after 7 p.m., the Lodge must be informed on the day of arrival.

If you arrive early in the day and want to check in immediately, we recommend that you reserve the room for the night before. Otherwise, you can make a request to the Lodge.

Cancellation policy

Rooms can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 days (7 days during peak season and certain holidays) before the arrival date, until 12 noon. In case of later cancellations (2 - 0 days before arrival) or no-show, the agreed price for the entire stay will be charged. Even in the case of late arrival or early departure, the Lodge is entitled to charge 100% of the booked services. It is recommended to take out travel cancellation insurance.

Fire safety and smoking ban

The fire safety conditions must be strictly observed throughout the building. Due to fire safety regulations, the use of kettles, mini ovens, toasters, electric irons, and similar devices that are not part of the room equipment is strictly prohibited.

Smoking is not allowed in the entire Lodge.

Children

Please reserve a baby cot before arrival. Free for children up to 3 years (subject to availability).

WIFI

The Lodge provides free internet access (WIFI) to guests. The guest is responsible for the use of login data. He is liable for misuse and illegal behavior when using the internet.

Pets

Pets are welcome (by prior arrangement only). We charge CHF 20.- per night.

Parking

We have a few outdoor parking spaces, at a cost of CHF 15.- per day.

Only cars, motorcycles or bicycles may be parked on the premises of the Lodge. Vans, trailers, or trucks are not allowed. The hotel is not liable for any damage or theft of parked vehicles and their contents, except as provided by law.

Room key/badge

The room key/card issued by the Lodge remains the property of the Lodge and allows 24-hour access to the Lodge.

Lodge liability

The Lodge is liable for the items brought in by the guests in accordance with legal provisions. Liability for minor negligence is expressly excluded. If the guest suffers damage or is dissatisfied with the services provided by the Lodge, they must report this to the Lodge immediately, otherwise they will no longer be able to assert any rights.

If upon arrival, for unforeseen reasons, the reserved room or an equivalent room is not available, you will be accommodated in a room of the next higher category.

The guest is responsible for insuring any items brought into the Lodge. If valuables such as jewelry, cash, or securities are not entrusted to the Lodge for safekeeping, the liability of the Lodge is waived within the limits of the law.

The Lodge excludes liability towards the guest within the limits of the law for slight and moderate negligence, and only accepts liability for intentionally or grossly negligent damages.

If the guest desires services that are not provided directly by the Lodge, the Lodge only acts as an intermediary.

The statutory limitation periods apply. To the extent that they can be amended, a six-month absolute limitation period applies to claims for damages by the guest after departure.

Final provisions

Changes or additions to the contract or the reservation confirmation will be made in writing wherever possible. Unilateral changes or additions are not valid. By signing the contract/reservation confirmation or making an online booking, you accept the general terms and conditions. This agreement is governed exclusively by Swiss law.
